Hace muy poco realizamos un informe para Banco Naci\u00f3n en Argentina, lo cual represent\u00f3 un hito importante para nosotros. \u00bfC\u00f3mo llegaste a Ventus?<\/strong> \u00bfQu\u00e9 tipos de trabajos desarrolla el Departamento de Wind & Site para los distintos mercados en Am\u00e9rica Latina?<\/strong> Nos percibimos como un socio estrat\u00e9gico para nuestros clientes y no como consultores que hacen un trabajo en particular. El departamento se adapta a la necesidad individual de cada proyecto. En varias ocasiones trabajamos con otros departamentos de la empresa, como Ingenier\u00eda Civil y El\u00e9ctrica u O&M, para poder encontrar una soluci\u00f3n \u00f3ptima. Esto nos destaca por sobre cualquier otra empresa del rubro. Decimos que Wind & Site es \u201cla puerta de entrada\u201d para los proyectos. En muchos casos, es el primer trabajo que ve el cliente de Ventus. We work along these lines for companies such as Pampa Energ\u00eda, Petroqu\u00edmica Comodoro Rivadavia, Pan American Energy, IMPSA and so on. We have just compiled a report for Banco Naci\u00f3n in Argentina, and that was a significant milestone for us. How did you get to Ventus?<\/strong> What types of work does the Wind & Site department carry out for the different Latin American markets?<\/strong> We see ourselves as a strategic partner for our clients, and not so much as consultants that do one job in particular. The department adapts to the individual needs of each project. In some occasions, we work together with other areas of the company, such as Civil and Electrical Engineering or O&M, so that we can find an optimal solution. This is why we stand out. We usually say that Wind & Site is the \u201centry point\u201d for every project. In many cases, it is the first job the client will actually see. \nDesde el 2015 me encargo del departamento de Wind & Site de Ventus. Desde este lugar nos dedicamos a la primera etapa de todos los proyectos: evaluaci\u00f3n preliminar y final del potencial de sitios y del dimensionado de parques e\u00f3licos y solares. En muchos casos, nuestro trabajo define la estrategia de nuestros clientes hacia sus sitios, precisamente si conviene seguir analizando esa oportunidad o si prefieren elegir otra.<\/p>\n
\nRecientemente comenzamos a trabajar junto a una de las instituciones bancarias mundiales m\u00e1s importantes, con quien estamos realizando consultor\u00edas para un proyecto en Argentina, en la elaboraci\u00f3n de layouts, optimizaci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n y minimizaci\u00f3n del CAPEX.<\/p>\n
\nMotivado por retos personales me fui de Rusia, mi pa\u00eds de origen, y me mud\u00e9 a Argentina, donde conoc\u00ed a la empresa. Cuando me plantearon la idea de comenzar a trabajar en Ventus, el mercado e\u00f3lico en Uruguay estaba en su esplendor. Era una oportunidad para m\u00ed para ingresar a una empresa muy din\u00e1mica, con gente dedicada, y con una misma visi\u00f3n en com\u00fan. A su vez, resultaba un desaf\u00edo muy importante liderar un \u00e1rea con tanta responsabilidad en el desarrollo de los proyectos como es Wind & Site.<\/p>\n
\nAlgunos de los servicios m\u00e1s importantes que ofrecemos son las evaluaciones energ\u00e9ticas completas para clientes, Due Diligence t\u00e9cnico, selecci\u00f3n del aerogenerador, estudios de cargas y de optimizaci\u00f3n de la TIR de proyectos, campa\u00f1as de medici\u00f3n, entre otros.<\/p>\n
\nPara poder afrontar los distintos trabajos, ha sido clave contar con profesionales de alto desempe\u00f1o, con facilidad para adaptarse a cada escenario y necesidad.<\/p>\n
\nRecientemente completamos una evaluaci\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica para un parque de 200 MW para una importante empresa de origen alem\u00e1n que opera en M\u00e9xico, un mercado en el cual hemos ingresado con \u00e9xito.
\nEn Argentina estamos trabajando junto a la gran mayor\u00eda de los ganadores de las rondas RenovAR 1 y 1,5, as\u00ed como de las licitaciones GenRen.<\/p>\n
\nLos desaf\u00edos se han ido multiplicando, as\u00ed como los pa\u00edses donde brindamos servicios. La experiencia obtenida y la dedicaci\u00f3n ser\u00e1n clave para continuar progresando en un \u00e1rea de la empresa como la nuestra. Confi\u00f3 que esto resultar\u00e1 en un mejor producto por parte de los dem\u00e1s departamentos de Ventus.
\nAsimismo, este a\u00f1o buscaremos compartir con nuestros clientes nuevas herramientas y servicios que estamos desarrollando actualmente: una herramienta para el an\u00e1lisis de rendimiento de aerogeneradores, as\u00ed como el an\u00e1lisis de campa\u00f1as con los sistemas LiDAR, entre otros, que seguramente nos otorgar\u00e1n un diferencial importante.

\nWhat role do you play in Ventus?<\/strong>
\nI have been in charge of the Wind & Site department since 2015. This is where we devote ourselves to the first stage of every project, which is an analysis of the preliminary and final site potential, together with the sizing of wind and solar farms. In many cases, our job will map out our clients\u2019 strategy towards their sites, especially whether it is convenient to continue analyzing that opportunity or if it is better to choose a different one.<\/p>\n
\nRecently, we started working hand in hand with one of the world\u2019s most important banking institutions, and we are providing advising services for a project in Argentina. We are also helping them create layouts, optimize production and minimize their CAPEX.<\/p>\n
\nI left Russia, my country of origin, motivated by my personal goals, and I moved to Argentina, where I got to know the company. When I was offered a job at Ventus, the wind power industry in Uruguay was at its peak. It represented an opportunity to start working for a very dynamic company, with dedicated staff and a shared vision. At the same time, it was a major challenge to lead the Wind & Site department: there is a great amount of responsibility when it comes to developing these projects.<\/p>\n
\nSome of the most important services we offer are: full energy audits for our clients, technical due diligence, selection of wind turbines, studies on installed capacity and optimization of project\u2019s internal rate of return (IRR), measurement campaigns and much more.<\/p>\n
\nIn order to face the different jobs, it has been of utmost importance to work with high-performance professionals that can adapt easily to each scenario and need.<\/p>\n
\nWe have recently finished an energy audit for a 200\u00a0MW farm owned by an important German company that operates in Mexico, a market we have successfully broken into.
\nIn Argentina, we are working with most of the awardees of the program RenovAR 1 and 1.5, as well as with the awardees of GenRen bids.<\/p>\n
\nAs the countries where we offer our services have multiplied, so have the challenges we face. Our experience and dedication will be vital if we want to continue improving in an area such as the one we work in. I believe this will result in a better product from the other departments at Ventus.
\nIn addition, this year we would like to share new tools and services with our clients, products we are currently developing: a tool to analyze wind turbine performance and another one to analyze campaigns using the LiDAR technology, among others, which will surely differentiate us from our competitors.
