Ing. Oscar Ferre\u00f1o<\/em><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Colombia se apresta a realizar un cambio radical de su matriz el\u00e9ctrica. A trav\u00e9s de diferentes incentivos y subastas se establecieron las bases para la concesi\u00f3n de parques solares y e\u00f3licos, que sumados alcanzar\u00e1n una importante porci\u00f3n de la matriz el\u00e9ctrica. Esto apunta a reemplazar casi en su totalidad a los combustibles f\u00f3siles dentro de esa matriz, para poder combatir el cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>En este marco, las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas renovables que mejor se adaptan a las condiciones locales son las centrales solares y las e\u00f3licas, por su potencial y su competitividad de costos. Sin embargo, ambas presentan la dificultad de no ser gestionables, es decir que se dispone de ellas de forma temporal cuando existe el recurso que las origina.<\/p>\n<p>La matriz el\u00e9ctrica colombiana actual dispone de una muy buena participaci\u00f3n de la generaci\u00f3n hidroel\u00e9ctrica, que ronda el 60%, por lo que es flexible y puede admitir una gran porci\u00f3n de energ\u00edas no gestionables.<\/p>\n<p>En este marco los parques solares presentan grandes ventajas respecto a las dem\u00e1s fuentes.<\/p>\n<p>Una de sus principales ventajas es que son escalables<strong>.<\/strong> Un mega parque solar de cientos de MW es la suma de muchos parques de tan s\u00f3lo algunos kW, por lo que su realizaci\u00f3n puede adaptarse a la disponibilidad de l\u00edneas de distribuci\u00f3n y de trasmisi\u00f3n (conectividad el\u00e9ctrica).<\/p>\n<p>Su log\u00edstica no representa grandes desaf\u00edos ya que los componentes de las unidades solares pueden transportarse a trav\u00e9s de cualquier l\u00ednea de comunicaci\u00f3n vial existente sin necesidad de incurrir en sobrecostos. Esta es la principal raz\u00f3n por la que los parques fotovoltaicos est\u00e1n anticipando la transformaci\u00f3n de la matriz.<\/p>\n<p>Por otra parte, el montaje no requiere la participaci\u00f3n en sitio de empresas extranjeras y permite recurrir a mano de obra local, por lo que se adaptan bien a las externalidades que presenta la actual emergencia sanitaria que estamos atravesando.<\/p>\n<p>Como desventaja podr\u00eda marcarse que los parques fotovoltaicos tienen un l\u00edmite de su factor de capacidad del orden del 20%. Es decir, que la energ\u00eda media obtenible de un parque se corresponde con la producci\u00f3n continua del 20% de la producci\u00f3n instalada.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, la otra tecnolog\u00eda que jugar\u00e1 un papel importante en la transformaci\u00f3n de la matriz es la generaci\u00f3n e\u00f3lica. Si bien los parques e\u00f3licos pueden ser escalables, se parte de una escala de algunos MW con componentes m\u00e1s pesados y voluminosos, por lo que su log\u00edstica representa desaf\u00edos mucho m\u00e1s importantes.<\/p>\n<p>El rendimiento energ\u00e9tico de los parques e\u00f3licos depende de la densidad de la atm\u00f3sfera, por lo cual su producci\u00f3n disminuye con la altura sobre el nivel del mar.<br \/>\nPor las caracter\u00edsticas topogr\u00e1ficas y clim\u00e1ticas de Colombia, la zona de mayor recurso e\u00f3lico est\u00e1 en la costa y particularmente en el noroeste (sobre todo en la Guajira).<\/p>\n<p>En los pr\u00f3ximos meses el departamento de La Guajira ser\u00e1 el escenario para el montaje de m\u00e1s de 2.000 MW e\u00f3licos, lo que representar\u00e1 la instalaci\u00f3n de alrededor de 500 aerogeneradores. Esto se traduce en el arribo de alrededor de 100 barcos, que necesariamente desembarcar\u00e1n en alguno de los dos puertos privados que posee el departamento (Puerto Brisas y Puerto Bolivar), y el transporte de los componentes de los mismos emplear\u00e1 en el entorno de 4.500 viajes de cami\u00f3n.<br \/>\nEn general los barcos pueden transportar hasta 5 aerogeneradores, pero como los componentes pueden venir de diferentes or\u00edgenes, puede preverse que los embarques y desembarques no sean de molinos completos sino de componentes.<br \/>\nDe acuerdo a la caracter\u00edstica del sitio donde se instalen los parques e\u00f3licos, y la accesibilidad vial a dichos parques, debe elegirse un puerto o el otro seg\u00fan conveniencia log\u00edstica.<\/p>\n<p>Si pensamos que la construcci\u00f3n del parque se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en un lapso de 12 meses, estamos hablando de 2 barcos por semana, y 1 barco por puerto por semana. Para evitar la congesti\u00f3n de puertos e intromisi\u00f3n con sus operativas normales, es importante programar centros log\u00edsticos para acopiar componentes para agilizar el desembarco y por lo tanto evitar cuellos de botella aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Luego, los componentes se tendr\u00e1n que desplazar a los sitios e\u00f3licos mediante convoyes de camiones, especialmente previstos para la ocasi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Por todos los puntos anteriormente mencionados los parques e\u00f3licos requieren experiencia en la gesti\u00f3n log\u00edstica de todos estos aspectos, para no estresar la infraestructura de la Guajira, por lo que es de gran relevancia contar con constructores experientes en la realizaci\u00f3n de parques e\u00f3licos.<\/p>\n<p>Como empresa constructora de proyectos renovables, Ventus ha colaborado en todas las etapas que involucran a la construcci\u00f3n de proyectos e\u00f3licos y solares en otros pa\u00edses de Latinoam\u00e9rica, y se presta a ser un jugador importante que se avecina en Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>[\/tp]<\/p>\n<p>[tp lang=\u00bben\u00bb not_in=\u00bbes\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p><em>Source: Mundo El\u00e9ctrico<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2263\" src=\"https:\/\/ventusenergia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Mundo-Electrico.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"531\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Mundo-Electrico.jpg 850w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Mundo-Electrico-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Mundo-Electrico-768x480.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Mundo-Electrico-400x250.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><br \/>\nBy: Acad. Through different incentives and auctions, the bases for the concession of solar and wind farms were established, which together will reach a significant portion of the electricity matrix. This aims to almost entirely replace fossil fuels within that matrix, in order to combat climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Within this framework, the new renewable technologies that best adapt to local conditions are solar and wind power plants, due to their potential and cost competitiveness. However, both present the difficulty of not being manageable, that is to say that they are available temporarily when the resource that originates them exists.<\/p>\n<p>The current Colombian electricity matrix has a very good share of hydroelectric generation, which is over 60%, so it is flexible and can accept a large portion of non-manageable energy.<\/p>\n<p>In this framework, solar farms have great advantages over other sources.<\/p>\n<p>One of their main advantages is that they are scalable. A big solar farm of hundreds of MW is the sum of many farms of only a few kW, so its implementation can be adapted to the availability of distribution and transmission lines (electrical connectivity).<\/p>\n<p>Its logistics do not represent great challenges since the components of the solar units can be transported through any existing road communication line without the need to have cost overruns. This is the main reason why solar farms are anticipating the transformation of the matrix.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the assembly does not require the participation of foreign companies on site and allows the use of local labor, so they adapt well to the externalities presented by the current health emergency that we are going through.<\/p>\n<p>As a disadvantage, it could be noted that solar farms have a capacity factor of the order of 20%. In other words, the average energy obtainable from a solar farm corresponds to the continuous production of 20% of the installed production.<\/p>\n<p>Another technology source that will play an important role in the transformation of the matrix is \u200b\u200bwind generation. Although wind farms can be scalable, they start on a scale of a few MW with heavier and more bulky components, so their logistics represent much more important challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The energy efficiency of wind farms depends on the density of the atmosphere, which is why their production decreases with height above sea level.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the topographic and climatic characteristics of Colombia, the area with the greatest wind resource is on the coast and particularly in the northwest (especially in La Guajira).<\/p>\n<p>In the coming months, the department of La Guajira will be the setting for the assembly of more than 2,000 MW of wind power, which will represent the installation of 500 wind turbines. This means that over 100 ships will arrive to La Guajira, which will necessarily disembark in one of the two private ports that the department has (Puerto Brisas and Puerto Bolivar), and the transportation of their components will take around 4,500 truck trips.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, the ships can transport up to 5 wind turbines, but as the components can come from different origins, it can be foreseen that the shipments and disembarkations will not be of complete wind turbines but of components.<\/p>\n<p>According to the characteristics of the site where the wind farms are installed, and the road accessibility to the places where they are built, one port or the other should be chosen according to logistical convenience.<\/p>\n<p>If we think that the construction of the farm will take place in a period of 12 months, we estimate about 2 ships per week, and 1 ship per port per week. To avoid port congestion and interference with their normal operations, it is important to program logistics centers to collect components to speed up disembarkation and therefore avoid bottlenecks.<\/p>\n<p>After their arrival, the components will have to move to the wind sites by truck convoys, specially planned for the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>For all the aforementioned points, wind farms require experience in the logistics management of all these aspects, so as not to stress the infrastructure of La Guajira, so it is of great relevance to have experienced builders in the construction of wind farms.<\/p>\n<p>As a construction company of renewable projects, Ventus has collaborated in all the stages that involve the construction of wind and solar projects in other Latin American countries, and it lends itself to being an important player that is looming in Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>[\/tp]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[tp lang=\u00bbes\u00bb not_in=\u00bben\u00bb] Fuente: Mundo El\u00e9ctrico Columna Acad.
