Recientemente Ventus estructur\u00f3 esquema de negocios entre empresas para la implementaci\u00f3n de nuevo proyecto renovable, y construir\u00e1 tres plantes solares que permitir\u00e1n a Serviam, empresa uruguaya dedicada a la construcci\u00f3n, mantenimiento y se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de gran parte de la red vial del pa\u00eds, ser generador de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica.<\/em><\/p>\n

Las plantas, que alcanzar\u00e1n una potencia total de 520 kWp, se ubicar\u00e1n en los techos de sucursales de una importante cadena de supermercados local, en los departamentos de Montevideo, Canelones y Florida.<\/p>\n

Ventus ide\u00f3 el esquema de negocio, conect\u00f3 a las empresas y estructur\u00f3 un proyecto que redund\u00f3 en beneficios para ambas partes. A trav\u00e9s del nuevo acuerdo, la cadena de supermercados acceder\u00e1 a energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica generada por las plantas construidas por Ventus para Serviam a un costo m\u00e1s bajo de lo que la adquiere actualmente. De esta forma, podr\u00e1 reducir considerablemente su gasto mensual en energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n

Por su parte, Serviam lograr\u00e1 aprovechar los beneficios impositivos de invertir en un proyecto de energ\u00edas renovables. Dado el reciente Decreto de Beneficios Transitorios del Ministerio de Econom\u00eda y Finanzas, aquellos proyectos que se ejecuten antes del 31 de marzo de 2021 podr\u00e1n hacer uso de exoneraciones adicionales que apalancan la rentabilidad de la inversi\u00f3n. Este cambio regulatorio ha incrementado el inter\u00e9s por parte de diversas empresas locales en los \u00faltimos meses, que contactan a Ventus para evaluar potenciales oportunidades.<\/p>\n

Este proyecto, que insumir\u00e1 unos 9 meses de construcci\u00f3n, ser\u00e1 el decimos\u00e9ptimo proyecto solar construido por Ventus en Uruguay, y el n\u00famero 25 en el continente. Ventus suma m\u00e1s de 245 MW de potencia instalada en sus 10 a\u00f1os de operaciones.<\/p>\n

\u201cEste es un proyecto muy importante para nosotros, ya que hemos operado como plataforma para juntar a una empresa dispuesta a instalar energ\u00eda limpia, con un potencial consumidor de esta energ\u00eda. De este modo ambas instituciones se potencian generado un modelo de negocio para peque\u00f1as y medianas industrias en Uruguay, que sin duda se seguir\u00e1 replicando\u201d, coment\u00f3 Francis Raquet, Director de Ventus.<\/p>\n

Ventus recently structured a business scenario between companies for the implementation of a new renewable project, and will build three solar farms that will allow Serviam, a Uruguayan company dedicated to the construction, maintenance and signaling of the country’s road network, to be an energy generator.<\/p>\n

The solar farms, which will reach a total power of 520 kWp, will be located on the rooftops of a major local supermarket chain, in the departments of Montevideo, Canelones and Florida.<\/p>\n

Ventus devised the business scheme, connected the companies and structured a project that resulted in benefits for both parties. Through the new agreement, the supermarket chain will access electricity generated by the plants built by Ventus for Serviam at a lower cost than it currently purchases.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Serviam will be able to take advantage of the tax benefits of investing in a renewable energy project. Given the recent Decree of Transitory Benefits of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, those projects that are executed before March 31, 2021 may make use of additional exemptions that leverage the profitability of the investment. This regulatory change has increased interest from various local companies in recent months, who have contacted Ventus to evaluate potential opportunities.<\/p>\n

This project, which will take about 9 months of construction, will be the seventeenth solar project built by Ventus in Uruguay, and number 25 on the continent. Ventus adds more than 245 MW of installed power in its 10 years of operations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a very important project for us, since we have operated as a platform to bring together a company willing to install clean energy, with a potential consumer of this energy. In this way, both institutions are empowered by generating a business model for small and medium-sized industries in Uruguay, which will undoubtedly continue to be replicated, \u201dsaid Francis Raquet, Director of Ventus.<\/p>\n
