\n\u00bfQu\u00e9 proyectos est\u00e1n construyendo en Colombia? \u00bfD\u00f3nde se ubican? \u00bfQu\u00e9 caracter\u00edsticas t\u00e9cnicas tienen?<\/strong><\/p>\n

En la actualidad la empresa est\u00e1 en el proceso de construcci\u00f3n de 3 parques solares en modalidad EPC, que acumulan 37 MWp de potencia instalada, localizados en distintos departamentos de Colombia.
\nEsto requiere un esfuerzo de coordinaci\u00f3n y log\u00edstico muy importante, y desde la empresa estamos trabajando para optimizar el uso de nuestros recursos, para as\u00ed hacer m\u00e1s eficiente las inversiones de nuestros clientes.
\nPara esto ha sido muy importante la experiencia acumulada por nuestros profesionales en otros pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n, quienes con la experiencia en las mejores pr\u00e1cticas en proyectos EPC similares que actualmente se est\u00e1n ejecutando en la regi\u00f3n, vienen trabajando con Ingenieros colombianos, adaptando las mejores pr\u00e1cticas Internacionales a las necesidades y requerimientos t\u00e9cnicos y normativos en Colombia. De hecho, en 10 a\u00f1os de operaciones, desde Ventus hemos construido m\u00e1s de 40 proyectos de energ\u00edas renovables.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 particularidades encontraron en la EPC de estos parques?
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colombia posee una geograf\u00eda y aspectos sociales particulares que generan importantes desaf\u00edos a los proyectos renovables. La log\u00edstica\u00a0 y las comunidades son muy diversas,\u00a0 por lo que es clave estudiar, previo al proyecto, las condiciones de los sitios y el entorno donde se ejecutar\u00e1 el proyecto y prever los recursos necesarios, entre ellos la mano de obra, para su construcci\u00f3n.
\nZonas como La Guajira, donde hay dificultades graves de disponer de agua para construcci\u00f3n por la normativa establecida en Colombia para dicha zona, as\u00ed como de otros materiales, requiere un buen conocimiento que permita preveer y resolver estos inconvenientes log\u00edsticos, y de recursos previamente al inicio de las obras. Este es un aspecto que Ventus tiene muy claramente identificado como riesgos de construcci\u00f3n y es clave para el \u00e9xito de los proyectos.
\nComo lo comentamos, otro de los grandes desaf\u00edos que van de la mano con la log\u00edstica, es el relacionamiento e involucramiento con las comunidades locales. Lograr un involucramiento con las comunidades del lugar, para luego capacitar y emplear mano de obra local, enriquece el proyecto que la empresa lleva a cabo y a la comunidad en su conjunto. Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de esto, y en escenarios como el de la actual pandemia, contar con personal local permite resolver problemas log\u00edsticos con mayor facilidad debido a la proximidad de las personas con el proyecto.<\/p>\n

\u00bfSe est\u00e1 moviendo el mercado a ra\u00edz de las subastas? \u00bfY el mercado entre privados?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colombia es un pa\u00eds con condiciones excepcionales para incluir energ\u00edas renovables a su sistema el\u00e9ctrico. Con los precios presentados en la \u00faltima subasta para compras de lago plazo de energ\u00eda, qued\u00f3 demostrada la competitividad de las energ\u00edas renovables en comparaci\u00f3n con las energ\u00edas convencionales. Adicionalmente, los incentivos otorgados por el gobierno colombiano, el buen recurso en todo el pa\u00eds, acompa\u00f1ado con una adecuada Regulaci\u00f3n y Condiciones de mercado, incentivan los PPAs y contratos bilaterales entre particulares, especialmente en la Industria y el Comercio. De hecho, ya hay varios proyectos con PPAs privados en operaci\u00f3n y en construcci\u00f3n en los que Ventus est\u00e1 participando.
\nAdicionalmente, los proyectos asignados en la \u00faltima subasta, tanto e\u00f3licos como solares, aumentar\u00e1n significativamente el trabajo en el sector renovable en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os y necesitando de empresas que ya conocen el entorno de trabajar en Colombia.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 expectativas tienen para el sector e\u00f3lico?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Es indudable que la construcci\u00f3n de parques e\u00f3licos es una de nuestras grandes apuestas en lo que viene por delante. Somos una empresa cuya g\u00e9nesis ha sido a trav\u00e9s de la energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica, y somos especialistas en la construcci\u00f3n de este tipo de proyectos.
\nEn Uruguay, uno de los pa\u00edses de mayor penetraci\u00f3n de renovables en el mundo, Ventus particip\u00f3 en m\u00e1s del 50% de los MW e\u00f3licos instalados, y ha construido<\/p>\n

alrededor de 20 proyectos en modalidad EPC.
\nPodemos afirmar que la empresa tiene la madurez, y el conocimiento suficiente para construir parques e\u00f3licos en Colombia.
\nEn este marco, y para aumentar nuestro respaldo financiero y para robustecer la experiencia en grandes obras de infraestructura, hemos cerrado una alianza estrat\u00e9gica con la constructora uruguaya Saceem, para la construcci\u00f3n de parques e\u00f3licos de gran porte aqu\u00ed en Colombia.
\nSaceem tiene 67 de a\u00f1os de experiencia, cuenta con m\u00e1s de 2.000 colaboradores y un track record que supera los 1.700 contratos ejecutados, operando en varios pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina. Creo que los desaf\u00edos de construir en La Guajira son evidentes desde el punto de vista log\u00edstico y de escasez de recursos. Pero para este tipo de construcciones complejas existen empresas como Ventus, que tienen importante experiencia en gerenciar y construir esta clase de proyectos, y que son capaces de anticiparse y dar soluciones a sus clientes.<\/p>\n

What projects are you building in Colombia? Where they are located? What technical characteristics do they have?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Currently, the company is in the process of building 3 solar farms, which accumulate 37 MWp of installed power, located in different departments of Colombia.<\/p>\n

This requires a very important coordination and logistical effort. From Ventus we are working to optimize the use of our resources, in order to make our clients’ investments more efficient.<\/p>\n

The experience gained by our professionals in other countries of the region has been very important for this. With their experience in similar projects that are currently being executed in the region, have been working with Colombian engineers, adapting best practices. In fact, in 10 years of operations, Ventus has built more than 40 renewable energy projects.<\/p>\n

What particularities did you find in the construction of these farms?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colombia has particular geography and social aspects that generate significant challenges for renewable projects. Logistics and communities are very diverse, so it is essential to study, prior to the project, the conditions of the sites and the environment where the project will be carried out and to foresee the necessary resources, including labor, for its construction.<\/p>\n

Areas such as La Guajira, where there are serious difficulties in having water for construction due to the regulations established in Colombia for this area, as well as other materials, requires a good knowledge that allows foreseeing and solving these logistical problems, and resources prior to the start of the works. This is an aspect that Ventus has very clearly identified as construction risks and is key to the success of the projects.<\/p>\n

As discussed, another of the great challenges that go hand in hand with logistics is the relationship and involvement with local communities. Engaging with local communities, and then training and employing local labor, enriches the project that the company carries out and the community as a whole. But beyond this, and in scenarios such as that of the current pandemic, having local personnel allows logistical problems to be solved more easily due to the proximity of people to the project.<\/p>\n

Is the market moving due to the auctions? What about the private market?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colombia is a country with exceptional conditions to include renewable energy in its electricity system. With the prices presented in the last auction for long-term energy purchases, the competitiveness of renewable energy compared to conventional energy was demonstrated. Additionally, the incentives granted by the Colombian government, the good resource throughout the country, accompanied by adequate Regulation and Market Conditions, encourage PPPs and bilateral contracts between individuals, especially in Industry and Commerce. In fact, there are already several projects with private PPAs in operation and under construction in which Ventus is participating.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the projects assigned in the last auction, both wind and solar, will significantly increase work in the renewable sector in the coming years and in need of companies that already know the environment of working in Colombia.<\/p>\n

What expectations do you have for the wind sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no doubt that the construction of wind farms is one of our main goals. We are a company whose genesis has been through wind energy, and we are specialists in the construction of this type of project.<\/p>\n

In Uruguay, one of the countries with the highest penetration of renewables in the world, Ventus participated in more than 50% of the installed wind MW, and has built around 20 projects in EPC modality.<\/p>\n

We can affirm that the company has the maturity and sufficient knowledge to build wind farms in Colombia.<\/p>\n

In this framework, and to increase our financial support and to strengthen the experience in large infrastructure works, we have entered into a strategic alliance with the Uruguayan construction company Saceem, for the construction of large-scale wind farms here in Colombia.<\/p>\n

Saceem has 67 years of experience, has more than 2,000 collaborators and a track record that exceeds 1,700 contracts executed, operating in several countries in Latin America.<\/p>\n

I believe that the challenges of building in La Guajira are evident from the logistical point of view and the lack of resources. But for this type of complex construction there are companies like Ventus, who have significant experience in managing and building this kind of project, and who are capable of anticipating and providing solutions to their clients.<\/p>\n
