Juan Pablo Saltre, CEO y fundador de Ventus, cont\u00f3 en una entrevista para Energ\u00eda Estrat\u00e9gica sobre la asociaci\u00f3n que cerr\u00f3 Ventus con la compa\u00f1\u00eda constructora m\u00e1s grande del Uruguay, Saceem, que se propone construir los proyectos de energ\u00eda renovable que est\u00e1n previstos en Colombia.<\/em><\/p>\n \u00bfEn qu\u00e9 consiste el acuerdo con Saceem?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Recientemente alcanzamos una alianza para trabajar en conjunto con Saceem, la empresa constructora m\u00e1s grande del Uruguay, en proyectos de energ\u00eda renovable de gran porte en Colombia. \u00bfLa idea es consolidar la construcci\u00f3n de parques?<\/strong><\/p>\n Los proyectos e\u00f3licos en Colombia ser\u00e1n, en su gran mayor\u00eda, de gran tama\u00f1o (100 MW y m\u00e1s) y en zonas de gran complejidad, como es La Guajira. La alianza con SACEEM aporta un diferencial por su gran capacidad de ejecuci\u00f3n, antecedentes en grandes obras de infraestructura y respaldo financiero. Estamos convencidos que esta Asociaci\u00f3n de Empresas especialistas en los BoP E\u00f3licos, ser\u00e1 muy competitiva para los proyectos a construir en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n \u00bfQu\u00e9 particularidades tiene construir en Colombia?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n En Ventus buscamos contribuir de forma permanente en los mercados renovables de nuestro continente. A partir de ello, en el a\u00f1o 2016 abrimos nuestras oficinas, y hoy contamos con un equipo local, con gran experiencia en el mercado renovable, apoyado por las m\u00e1s de 120 personas que operan desde Argentina, Chile y Uruguay. \u00a0En este marco, hemos trabajado intensamente en el recorrido por las diferentes regiones del pa\u00eds para conocer los sitios para la construcci\u00f3n de proyectos renovables, solares y e\u00f3licos, entre ellos las particularidades y dificultades de La Guajira.<\/p>\n \u00bfY en La Guajira?<\/strong><\/p>\n Algunas complejidades de La Guajira refieren a temas de construcci\u00f3n y log\u00edstica, como el hecho de la disponibilidad de agua y de recursos necesarios para la construcci\u00f3n, mano de obra con cierta calificaci\u00f3n, disponibilidad de alojamiento cerca a los sitios de construcci\u00f3n, v\u00edas de acceso con muchas dificultades, especialmente en la \u00e9poca de lluvias en la zona y aspectos de seguridad.<\/p>\n \u00bfPodr\u00e1 despegar el mercado de contratos bilaterales?<\/strong><\/p>\n Colombia es un pa\u00eds con condiciones excepcionales para incluir energ\u00edas renovables a su sistema el\u00e9ctrico. El recurso est\u00e1 presente y la regulaci\u00f3n y condici\u00f3n del mercado la transforman en un campo f\u00e9rtil para la realizaci\u00f3n de PPAs bilaterales por fuera de la Subasta organizada por el Gobierno. De hecho, ya hay varios proyectos con PPAs privados en operaci\u00f3n y en construcci\u00f3n. Por suerte, Ventus ya est\u00e1 participando en varios de estos. [\/tp]<\/p>\n [tp lang=\u00bben\u00bb not_in=\u00bbes\u00bb] Source: Energ\u00eda Estrat\u00e9gica<\/p>\n Juan Pablo Saltre, CEO and founder of Ventus, spoke with Energ\u00eda Estrat\u00e9gica about the partnership that Ventus arranged with the largest construction company in Uruguay, Saceem, in order to build wind farms in Colombia.<\/em><\/p>\n In what consists the agreement with Saceem?<\/strong><\/p>\n Recently we reached an alliance to work together with Saceem, the largest construction company in Uruguay, in large renewable energy projects in Colombia.<\/p>\n Saceem has over 67 years of experience, has more than 2,000 employees and a track record that exceeds 1,700 executed contracts, including the execution of wind BOPs for more than 200 MW in Uruguay. Currently Saceem operates in Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. In this alliance the company intends, together with Ventus, to build wind farms in Colombia.<\/p>\n On the other hand, Ventus has 10 years of experience in engineering, construction and operation of wind and solar power farms in different Latin American countries, including offices in Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay. With more than 120 professionals, Ventus has executed EPC construction contracts in more than 35 projects and developed works management for more than 1.5 GW. In addition, Ventus has been present in Colombia for 3 years, with a great local team in continuous growth.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The idea is to consolidate the construction of wind farms?<\/strong><\/p>\n Wind farms in Colombia will be, mostly, large (100 MW and more) and in areas of great complexity, such as La Guajira. The alliance with SACEEM provides a differential for its great capacity for execution, background in large infrastructure and financial support. We are convinced that this association of companies specializing in Wind BoP will be very competitive for the projects to be built in the coming years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What particularities does it have to build in Colombia?<\/strong><\/p>\n In Ventus we seek to contribute permanently in the renewable markets of our continent. Regarding this, in 2016 we opened our offices, and today we have a local team (with great experience in the renewable market) supported by more than 120 people operating from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Within this framework, we have worked intensively in the tour of the different regions of the country to know the sites for the construction of renewable projects, including the particularities and difficulties of La Guajira.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Which are the main complexities of La Guajira?<\/strong><\/p>\n Some complexities of La Guajira refer to construction and logistics issues, such as the availability of water and necessary resources for construction, labor with a certain qualification, availability of accommodation near construction sites, access roads with many difficulties, especially in the rainy season in the area and safety aspects.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Can the bilateral contract market take off?<\/strong><\/p>\n Colombia is a country with exceptional conditions to include renewable energy to its electrical system. The resource is present and the regulation and market condition transform it into a reality the realization of bilateral PPAs \u00a0contrats, apart from the tenders organized by the Government. In fact, there are already several projects with private PPAs operating and under construction. \nSaceem posee m\u00e1s de 67 a\u00f1os de experiencia, cuenta con m\u00e1s de 2.000 colaboradores y un track record que supera los 1.700 contratos ejecutados, incluyendo la ejecuci\u00f3n de BOPs e\u00f3licos por m\u00e1s de 200 MW en Uruguay. En la actualidad Saceem ya opera en Paraguay, Per\u00fa y Uruguay, y a partir de esta alianza la empresa se propone, junto a Ventus, construir parques e\u00f3licos en Colombia.
\nPor otro lado, Ventus posee 10 a\u00f1os de experiencia en ingenier\u00eda, construcci\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n de centrales e\u00f3licas y solares fotovoltaicas en distintos pa\u00edses de Latinoam\u00e9rica, incluyendo oficinas en Argentina, Chile, Colombia y Uruguay. Con m\u00e1s de 120 profesionales, Ventus ha ejecutado contratos de construcci\u00f3n EPC en m\u00e1s de 35 proyectos y de gerenciamiento de proyectos y obras por m\u00e1s de 1,5 GW. Adicionalemnte, Ventus est\u00e1 present\u00e9 en Colombia desde hace 3 a\u00f1os, con un gran equipo local en continuo crecimiento.<\/p>\n
\nAdicionalmente, los proyectos asignados en la \u00faltima Subasta aumentar\u00e1n significativamente el trabajo en el sector renovable en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
