Foto: Darwin Borrelli\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"p190730-m202-201-203\" class=\"paragraph selectionShareable\">La empresa uruguaya Ventus, primera privada autorizada a vender energ\u00eda hacia Argentina y que comenz\u00f3 a hacerlo en octubre de 2017, export\u00f3 durante el a\u00f1o pasado un total de 153.960 megavatios hora (MWh) en el marco de un contrato con Cammesa -la compa\u00f1\u00eda que administra el mercado el\u00e9ctrico mayorista del vecino pa\u00eds-.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p190730-m207-1-208\" class=\"paragraph selectionShareable\">Este tipo de operaciones deben ser autorizadas por el Ministerio de Industria, Energ\u00eda y Miner\u00eda (MIEM), y el permiso de Ventus venc\u00eda a fines de 2018. Por eso, una resoluci\u00f3n del 7 de enero del Poder Ejecutivo dio el visto bueno para renovar el permiso de exportaci\u00f3n \u201cen las mismas condiciones\u201d hasta el \u00faltimo d\u00eda del a\u00f1o actual.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan informaron a El Pa\u00eds en la empresa, ayer se retomaron los env\u00edos de energ\u00eda hacia Argentina luego de un parate en los primeros d\u00edas del a\u00f1o por el tr\u00e1mite de renovaci\u00f3n del permiso.<\/p>\n<p>En declaraciones a El Pa\u00eds, el director de Ventus, Francis Raquet, se mostr\u00f3 \u201ccontento de poder continuar exportando energ\u00eda\u201d y confiado de que \u201cla competitividad de nuestra energ\u00eda nos permitir\u00e1 continuar abriendo mercados\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La energ\u00eda exportada es generada en los ocho parques e\u00f3licos que tiene Ventus en Uruguay -Libertad, Villa Rodr\u00edguez y Mar\u00eda Luz (todos en el departamento de San Jos\u00e9), 18 de Julio (Rocha), Rosario (Colonia), Julieta (Durazno), Engraw (Florida) y Sol\u00eds de Mataojo (Canelones)-, que suman una capacidad instalada de 72,9 megavatios (MW).<\/p>\n<p>La empresa maneja una proyecci\u00f3n de generaci\u00f3n anual de 250.000 MWh.<\/p>\n<p>Esa energ\u00eda es comercializada localmente en el mercado spot -donde UTE compra al valor de generaci\u00f3n hidr\u00e1ulica o t\u00e9rmica m\u00e1s caro que despach\u00f3 ese d\u00eda- o exportada a Argentina, con precios que var\u00edan en cada env\u00edo.<\/p>\n<p>Es que previo al inicio de cada semana Ventus ofrece un paquete de energ\u00eda a Cammesa, que se elabora en funci\u00f3n de las estimaciones de generaci\u00f3n en sus parques e\u00f3licos.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n UTE exporta energ\u00eda hacia el exterior, tanto a Argentina como a Brasil. Seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 en septiembre pasado El Observador, la mayor\u00eda de las ofertas de paquetes de electricidad que Uruguay realiz\u00f3 a Brasil fueron rechazadas porque el sistema el\u00e9ctrico norte\u00f1o pod\u00eda generar a costos m\u00e1s convenientes, y al otro vecino hasta aquel mes UTE le hab\u00eda vendido solo una quinta parte de lo exportado en 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Hay otro privado autorizado a vender electricidad a Argentina, es la firma Ceosa S.A. Foto: Darwin Borrelli\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Uruguayan company Ventus, the first private company authorized to trade energy to Argentina and which began doing so since October 2017, traded a total of 153,960 megawatt hours (MWh) during the last year under a contract with Cammesa &#8211; the company that manages the wholesale electricity market of the neighboring country.<\/p>\n<p>This type of operations must be authorized by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM), and the Ventus permit expired at the end of 2018. Therefore, a resolution signed of by the Executive Power gave the go-ahead to renew the Export permit \u00abin the same conditions\u00bb until the last day of the current year.<\/p>\n<p>As reported to El Pa\u00eds by the company, yesterday the trading of energy to Argentina resumed after a stop in the first days of the year for the procedure of renewal of the permit.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to El Pa\u00eds, the director of Ventus, Francis Raquet, was \u00abhappy to continue exporting energy\u00bb and confident that \u00abthe competitiveness of our energy will allow us to continue opening new markets.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>The energy exported is generated in the eight wind farms that Ventus operates in Uruguay -Libertad, Villa Rodr\u00edguez and Mar\u00eda Luz (all in the department of San Jos\u00e9), 18 de Julio (Rocha), Rosario (Colonia), Julieta (Durazno), Engraw (Florida) and Sol\u00eds de Mataojo (Canelones) -, which have 72.9 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.<\/p>\n<p>The anual energy capacity of this wind farms \u00a0is of 250,000 MWh.<\/p>\n<p>That energy is sold locally in the spot market -where UTE buys the most expensive hydraulic or thermal generation value that shipped that day- or exported to Argentina, with prices that vary in each shipment.<\/p>\n<p>Each week Ventus offers an energy package to Cammesa, which is made based on the generation estimates in its wind farms.<\/p>\n<p>UTE also exports energy abroad, both to Argentina and Brazil. As reported by El Observador last September, most of the offers of electricity packages that Uruguay made to Brazil were rejected because the northern electricity system could generate more convenient costs, UTE had sold only a fifth part of what was exported in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>There is another private comany authorized to sell electricity to Argentina, is the firm Ceosa S.A.
