En esos modelos, entre otras cosas, analizamos el peso que tienen los impuestos y los beneficios fiscales asociados a la inversi\u00f3n en energ\u00edas renovables, que suelen ser muy importantes en la definici\u00f3n de la rentabilidad de este tipo de proyectos.<\/p>\n \u00bfCu\u00e1les son los beneficios m\u00e1s importantes de un proyecto de energ\u00edas renovables?<\/strong><\/p>\n Los proyectos de EERR ofrecen grandes oportunidades a las empresas y a los sistemas el\u00e9ctricos de nuestros pa\u00edses. Por un lado, ofrecen la posibilidad de obtener energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica sin comprometer el consumo de insumos que pueden afectar el medioambiente. Por otra parte, en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, estos proyectos son altamente competitivos con respecto a otras fuentes de generaci\u00f3n de electricidad. Es decir, con el paso del tiempo las tecnolog\u00edas renovables ofrecen costos de energ\u00eda que son menores al de otras fuentes de generaci\u00f3n. Adicionalmente, las centrales pueden ser modulares y mantener la rentabilidad incluso en escalas bastante reducidas.<\/p>\n \u00bfCu\u00e1les son los modelos de negocio que se manejan para canalizar la inversi\u00f3n?<\/strong><\/p>\n Lo que ha predominado son las licitaciones por parte de los grandes agentes de los sistemas el\u00e9ctricos, mediante la compra de energ\u00eda a largo plazo en vol\u00famenes grandes. Ventus ha logrado una buena especializaci\u00f3n en modelos alternativos, basados en parques m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os, muchas veces conectados a nivel de distribuci\u00f3n, y tambi\u00e9n en modelos de autoconsumo para industrias.<\/p>\n \u00bfCu\u00e1l es su importancia y la vigencia de los beneficios otorgados por la COMAP en Uruguay?<\/strong><\/p>\n Los beneficios fiscales otorgados por la Ley de Inversiones, y los decretos que la regulan, han sido de suma importancia en Uruguay. Estos beneficios han \u00a0viabilizado m\u00faltiples modelos de negocio, con costos de energ\u00eda muy competitivo incluso en peque\u00f1as escalas de generaci\u00f3n. En este momento un proyecto de EERR puede llegar a una exoneraci\u00f3n de impuesto a la renta equivalentes a algo m\u00e1s de un 70% del monto de inversi\u00f3n requerido para su puesta en marcha. \u00bfCu\u00e1les son las particularidades de los proyectos solares para las industrias?<\/strong><\/p>\n Los proyectos de generaci\u00f3n fotovoltaica presentan grandes oportunidades especialmente para autoconsumo de las industrias o grandes centros comerciales. Ofrecen la posibilidad de generar energ\u00eda incluso en escalas muy reducidas y aprovechando espacios que no tienen otro uso alternativo, como por ejemplo los techos de las plantas industriales. Por otra parte la eficiencia econ\u00f3mica de estos proyectos ha venido mejorando mediante una mayor productividad de energ\u00eda, a la vez que se reducen sus costos de inversi\u00f3n por MW instalado. Hoy, en Uruguay, con los beneficios que ofrece COMAP (Ley de Inversiones) son altamente rentables mediante la suma de los beneficios fiscales y el ahorro de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n \u00bfQu\u00e9 recomendar\u00eda a una empresa que est\u00e1 pensando en invertir en un proyecto renovable?<\/strong><\/p>\n Le recomendar\u00eda analizar su oportunidad lo antes posible de forma de optimizar el uso de beneficios fiscales, ya sea utilizando el nuevo decreto o el anterior, de esta forma podr\u00e1 optimizar los beneficios asociados a esa inversi\u00f3n. In these flows we analyze the weight of taxes and the tax benefits associated with investing in renewable energies, which are usually very important in defining the profitability of this type of project.<\/p>\n What are the most important benefits of a renewable energy project?<\/strong><\/p>\n The renewable energy projects offer great opportunities to companies and electricity systems in our country. On one hand, they offer the possibility of obtaining electrical energy without compromising or affecting the environment. On the other hand, in recent years, solar projects have turned into highly competitive compared with other sources of electricity generation. Renewable technologies offer energy costs that are lower than other sources of generation. Additionally, the solar formas can be modular and maintain profitability even at small scales.<\/p>\n What are the business models do you use to make investments posible?<\/strong><\/p>\n Ventus has achieved a good specialization in small solar farmns, often connected at the distribution level, and also in self-consumption models for industries.<\/p>\n What is its importance of the benefits granted by COMAP in Uruguay? For how long are they granted?<\/strong><\/p>\n The tax benefits granted by the Investment promotion law, have been of utmost importance in Uruguay. These benefits have enabled multiple business models, with very competitive energy costs even at small generation scales. Nowadays a renewable energy project can reach a tax exemption equivalent to over 70% of the investment amount required for its implementation.<\/p>\n So it is more than obvious how important these benefits are, and the time frame of the Project. At this particular moment, a new law has been passed that regulates the use of \u00a0these benefits. We are waiting for the details regarding the implementation of this law. In the next 2 months we will have the option of using either tan those two.<\/p>\n What are the particularities of solar projects for industries?<\/strong><\/p>\n Photovoltaic generation projects present great opportunities especially for self-consumption of industries or large bussineses. They offer the possibility of generating energy even in very small scales and taking advantage of spaces that have no alternative use, such as the roofs of industrial plants. On the other hand, the economic efficiency of these projects has improved greatly, while reducing their investment costs per installed MW. Today, in Uruguay, with the benefits offered by COMAP (Investment Law), they are highly profitable through the sum of tax benefits and energy savings.<\/p>\n What would you recommend to a company that is thinking of investing in a renewable energy project?<\/strong><\/p>\n I would recommend analyzing the opportunity as soon as possible in order to optimize the use of tax benefits, so they may optimize the benefits associated with the investment. \nPor lo que resulta m\u00e1s que obvia la importancia y vigencia de estos beneficios. En este momento en particular, se ha publicado un nuevo decreto que reglamenta el uso de beneficios y estamos a la espera de los detalles para su uso efectivo, en los pr\u00f3ximos 2 meses vamos a tener la opci\u00f3n de utilizar el decreto vigente hasta hace unos d\u00edas o el nuevo decreto.<\/p>\n
