Criptodinero.es inici\u00f3 un ciclo destinado a protagonistas y proyectos relacionados a blockchain en Uruguay, incluyendo la voz de los pioneros y principales actores de esta tecnolog\u00eda a nivel local.<\/p>\n
Para esta entrega, nos contactamos con Francis Raquet, ingeniero y uno de los directores de Ventus; compa\u00f1\u00eda que proporciona servicios para la construcci\u00f3n de proyectos e\u00f3licos en todas sus etapas, incluyendo el desarrollo, ingenier\u00eda, construcci\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n a la comercializaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n
\u201cEstamos estudiando el tema desde hace algunos a\u00f1os. Tenemos dos proyectos de miner\u00eda en estudio: uno de 1MW con ampliaci\u00f3n a 5MW y otro de 15MW. Para ello, tanto en el \u00e1rea de miner\u00eda como en blockchain, nos hemos asociado con profesionales especialistas en la materia\u201d, cont\u00f3 a Criptodinero.es Francis Raquet.<\/p>\n
Por ello, le consultamos a Rosana Garc\u00eda, especialista en el \u00e1rea de aplicaciones de blockchain acerca de los proyectos que vienen desarrollando dentro de Ventus.<\/p>\n
\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 empezaron a trabajar con blockchain y desde hace cu\u00e1nto? \u00bfEn qu\u00e9 consiste el proyecto que llevan adelante en Ventus y en qu\u00e9 etapa se encuentra?<\/strong><\/p>\n Rosana Garc\u00eda: De la misma manera que en el resto del mundo, Ventus comenz\u00f3 con proyectos de blockchain relacionados a Bitcoin.<\/p>\n Blockchain, como tecnolog\u00eda detr\u00e1s del Bitcoin, comienza a concentrar la atenci\u00f3n desde el surgimiento de Ethereum y sus contratos inteligentes. Es ah\u00ed que blockchain empieza a desembarcar en todas las industrias. Y la energ\u00eda es una de ellas.<\/p>\n Ventus comienza entonces una investigaci\u00f3n sobre posibilidades de desarrollo con blockchain en el mercado energ\u00e9tico y a principios de este a\u00f1o, me sum\u00e9 a estudiar viabilidad de proyectos junto con ellos. En este momento, estamos en fase de investigaci\u00f3n, estudiando proyectos que ya est\u00e1n en marcha en otras partes, como ICOs relacionadas a incentivos de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda renovable, y proyectos en fase beta en generaci\u00f3n distribuida, tracking de energ\u00eda, flexibilizaci\u00f3n de la demanda. Este tipo de proyectos reci\u00e9n mencionados est\u00e1n en fase conceptual.<\/p>\n \u00bfEn qu\u00e9 casos recomendar\u00edas a las empresas el uso de esta tecnolog\u00eda descentralizada?<\/strong><\/p>\n RG: Esta es una buena pregunta. Desde el punto de vista t\u00e9cnico, blockchain es una base de datos distribuida, pero una base de datos al fin y al cabo. El uso de tecnolog\u00eda distribuida tiene que responder a una necesidad de tu proyecto.\u00a0 Aunque tambi\u00e9n es importante entender que Internet est\u00e1 en un punto de inflexi\u00f3n, donde est\u00e1 pasando de ser una red de la informaci\u00f3n a una red del valor.<\/p>\n Este cambio termina modificando la forma de la red y la forma de las relaciones en la red. Entonces, todos los conceptos de seguridad de la informaci\u00f3n (garantizar confidencialidad, disponibilidad e integridad de los datos), ahora deben aplicarse al valor. Por esto, m\u00e1s que preguntarse la pertinencia del uso de una tecnolog\u00eda distribuida, yo me preguntar\u00eda c\u00f3mo distribuir y qu\u00e9 distribuir.<\/p>\n La existencia de blockchains p\u00fablicas y privadas puede ser la respuesta a esta pregunta. Identificar puntos de intercambio de datos (valor) en tu proyecto es un buen punto inicial para ver c\u00f3mo adoptar blockchain.<\/p>\n \u00bfQu\u00e9 tan lejos estamos de una adopci\u00f3n masiva de esta tecnolog\u00eda?<\/strong><\/p>\n RG: Google est\u00e1 buscando c\u00f3mo adoptar el uso de blockchain. Creo que esa es la distancia, jaja.<\/p>\n \u00bfCu\u00e1les son las principales \u00e1reas de inter\u00e9s de las empresas que consultan por blockchain?<\/strong><\/p>\n RG: Criptomonedas, por ahora.<\/p>\n Algunas dificultades al momento de desarrollar esta tecnolog\u00eda, por ejemplo a nivel de costos\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n RG: El pasaje del mundo de lo intangible a lo tangible es lo m\u00e1s dificultoso. Y los costos est\u00e1n asociados a lo tangible. Las plataformas como Ethereum o NEM permiten jugar con blockchain en el mundo de la red. Pero el mundo real tiene sus normas legales y sus costos de desarrollo f\u00edsico. Esa es la principal barrera para los desarrollos con blockchain fuera de la red.<\/p>\n [\/tp]<\/p>\n [tp lang=\u00bben\u00bb not_in=\u00bbes\u00bb]<\/p>\n Source: Criptodinero.es<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In another example of the great number of applications and uses that this technology has, the Uruguayan engineering company Ventus, dedicated to develop renewable energy projects, is evaluating and investigating the possibilities of including blockchain in the field of the electric energy.<\/em><\/p>\n Criptodinero.es initiated a cycle of interwiews with experts related to blockchain in Uruguay, including the main actors of this technology at a locally.<\/p>\n In this ocassion, we contacted Francis Raquet, engineer and one of Ventus’ directors; company that provides services for the construction of wind projects in all its stages, including development, engineering, construction and operation, as well as energy trading.<\/p>\n \u00abWe have been studying the subject for some years now. We have two mining projects under study: one of 1MW, with expansion to 5MW, and another of 15MW. We have partnered with specialists in the field \u00bb said Francis Raquet\u00a0 to Criptodinero.es.<\/p>\n For this reason, we asked Rosana Garc\u00eda, a specialist in the area of \u200b\u200bblockchain applications, about the projects that have been developed within Ventus.<\/p>\n Why did they start working with blockchain and for how long? What is about the projet that Ventus is carrying out in and at what stage is it in?<\/strong><\/p>\n Rosana Garc\u00eda: In the same way as in the rest of the world, Ventus started with blockchain projects related to Bitcoins.<\/em><\/p>\n Blockchain begins to focus its attention trough Ethereum, since its origin. It is there that blockchain begins to operate in all industries. And energy is one of them.<\/em><\/p>\n Ventus began an investigation into possibilities of development with blockchain in the energy market and at the beginning of this year, I joined to study feasibility of projects together with them. At this moment, we are in the research phase, studying projects that are already underway elsewhere, such as ICOs related to renewable energy generation incentives, and beta projects in distributed generation, energy tracking, flexibility demand. These types of projects just mentioned are in conceptual phase.<\/em><\/p>\n In which cases would you recommend to companies the use of this decentralized technology?<\/strong><\/p>\n RG: This is a good question. From the technical point of view, blockchain is a distributed database. The use of distributed technology has to respond to a need of your project. Although it is also important to understand that the Internet has been a turning point, where it is changing from being a network of information to a valuable network.<\/em><\/p>\n This change modifies the form of the network and the form of the relationships in the network. Then, all the concepts of information security (guarantee confidentiality, availability and integrity of the data) must now be applied to the value. For this reason, better than asking about the relevance of the use of a distributed technology, I would ask myself how to distribute and distribute.<\/em><\/p>\n The existence of public and private blockchains may be the answer to this question.
