Soy ingeniero mec\u00e1nico de formaci\u00f3n, y actualmente estoy culminando una maestr\u00eda en Ingenier\u00eda de la Energ\u00eda en la Facultad de Ingenier\u00eda, de la Universidad de la Rep\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<p>Comenc\u00e9 a trabajar a trav\u00e9s de un proyecto que la empresa desarroll\u00f3 junto a ANII. El objetivo era generar capacidades y herramientas a partir de los datos SCADA de los aerogeneradores, complementando las capacidades de Ventus para evaluar el rendimiento y la producci\u00f3n de las turbinas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les son tus principales \u00e1reas de trabajo?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Me incorpor\u00e9 al departamento de Recurso Renovable, Operaci\u00f3n y Mantenimiento de Ventus, donde empec\u00e9 a familiarizarme con el an\u00e1lisis de datos de SCADA, torres meteorol\u00f3gicas y equipos LiDAR. A partir de ello realizamos mediciones de curvas de potencia, calibraci\u00f3n de los LiDARs y evaluaci\u00f3n de rendimiento de las turbinas.<\/p>\n<p>Enfoc\u00e1ndome en esto \u00faltimo, y con vistas al objetivo del proyecto ANII, nos dispusimos a crear un software que permitiera cuantificar p\u00e9rdidas o ganancias energ\u00e9ticas, as\u00ed como fechas en que hubieran ocurrido cambios en el rendimiento de un aerogenerador a trav\u00e9s del an\u00e1lisis de datos hist\u00f3ricos.<\/p>\n<p>El software aplica una serie de algoritmos, basados en referencias internacionales, obteniendo as\u00ed cuatro series temporales de indicadores clave: procesos gaussianos, indicador de degradaci\u00f3n, cuantiles de potencia y comparador de curvas de potencia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l ha sido la experiencia hasta el momento?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hasta el momento hemos validado esta herramienta en m\u00e1s de 80 MW actualmente bajo operaci\u00f3n de la empresa, obteniendo resultados altamente satisfactorios. Adem\u00e1s, hemos aplicado la nueva herramienta en un parque e\u00f3lico con m\u00e1s de 18 aerogeneradores, visualizando claramente p\u00e9rdidas energ\u00e9ticas y fallas registradas, lo cual ha sido muy provechoso. Los cambios de rendimiento que observamos son tanto de car\u00e1cter abrupto, como suave, cortos y prolongados en el tiempo. Notamos que se pueden deber tanto al cambio del software por el fabricante, como a las fallas de distintos componentes de los aerogeneradores.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfCrees que este proyecto puede ser un diferencial para Ventus?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Este sistema de monitoreo no tiene precedentes en Uruguay, y creo que va a ser f\u00e1cilmente replicable en el resto del continente.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de esto, creo que esta herramienta puede ser de gran utilidad para las m\u00faltiples tareas que desarrolla la empresa en el marco de la operaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de parques e\u00f3licos como lo son: la inspecci\u00f3n de palas, boroscop\u00edas, o la medici\u00f3n de curvas de potencia a trav\u00e9s del L\u00eddar Wind Cube y de torres de medici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>[\/tp]<\/p>\n<p>[tp lang=\u00bben\u00bb not_in=\u00bbes\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1364\" src=\"https:\/\/ventusenergia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Guggeri-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"860\" height=\"645\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Guggeri-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Guggeri-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Guggeri-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Guggeri-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Guggeri.jpg 1183w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>How long have you been working for Ventus?<br \/>\n<\/strong>I\u2019ve been working as a Data Analyst for Ventus for more than a year and a half. I\u2019m a mechanical engineer and I\u2019m about to finish a Master\u2019s Degree Course in Energy Engineering at the School of Engineering, University of the Republic.<\/p>\n<p>I started working through a Project the company carried out jointly with ANII (National Agency for Investigation and Innovation). It aimed at building up capabilities and tools from wind turbine\u2019s SCADA data, by supplementing Ventus capabilities to assess wind turbines performance and production.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which are your main working areas?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I joined Ventus Department of Renewable Resources, Operations and Maintenance, where I started to get familiar with SCADA data analysis, measurement towers and LiDAR equipment. On this basis, we measure power curves, calibrate LiDARs and assess turbines performance.<\/p>\n<p>In this regard and in pursuit of ANII project\u2019s purpose, we created software that would allow us to quantify energy gains or losses, and to verify the dates in which there would be changes in wind turbine performance by analyzing historical data.<\/p>\n<p>This software applies a set of algorithms, based on international references, which gives us four temporary sets of key indicators: Gaussian processes, degradation indicators, power quantiles, and power curve comparisons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How has the experience been to date? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Up to now, we have used this tool in more than 80 MW currently under operation in the company with highly satisfactory results. Furthermore, we have also applied this new tool at a wind farm having more than 18 wind turbines, and clearly detected energy losses and flaws; quite useful. The changes in performance that we have seen are sharp, smooth, short and lengthy. They can be the result of a change made by manufacturer to the software or the failure of several components in the wind turbines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you think that this Project can make a difference for Ventus?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This monitoring system is of unprecedented scale in Uruguay and I think it can be easily replicated within the continent.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond that, I believe this tool will be very useful for the multiple tasks developed by the company in operating and maintaining wind farms including inspection of rotor blades, borescopes, or measurement of power curves through Lidar Wind Cube and measurement towers.<\/p>\n<p>[\/tp]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[tp lang=\u00bbes\u00bb not_in=\u00bben\u00bb] \u00bfHace cu\u00e1nto trabaj\u00e1s en Ventus?
