[tp lang=\u00bben\u00bb not_in=\u00bbes\u00bb]Engineer Duncan Bell spoke about the \u00abusage of high tenacity geo-synthetics for extraordinary weight traffic roads in wind farms\u00bb at the \u00abPavimentation Technologies\u00bb block of the 10th Edition of the Uruguayan Roads Congress, which took place at the LATU headquarters on the 14, 15 and 16 of October.[\/tp]<\/p>\n

Posteriormente, comenzo\u0301 a \u201cdetallar el caso del Parque Eo\u0301lico (PE) 18 de Julio, dando una idea general de las caracteri\u0301sticas te\u0301cnicas, localizacio\u0301n y geografi\u0301a del proyecto\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bell destaco\u0301 el tipo y cantidad de aerogeneradores que se van a utilizar, 5 aerogeneradores Vestas V100 HH95m, en el proyecto ubicado en un campo arrocero a 15 km al norte del Chuy, Rocha.<\/p>\n

\"Bell<\/a>Por u\u0301ltimo, el ingeniero definio\u0301 \u201cque participar de un prestigioso Congreso, para Ventus significo\u0301 una instancia significativa para poder mostrar su capacidad al enfrentarse a un problema (terrenos muy malos e inundables) e implementar soluciones (utilizacio\u0301n de geosinteticos de alta tenacidad para caminos de tra\u0301fico extraordinariamente pesado) para optimizar los beneficios de sus proyectos\u201d.<\/p>\n

He then detailed the case study of 18 de Julio Wind Farm, giving a general idea of the technical characteristics, location and geography of the project.<\/p>\n

Mr. Bell pointed out the amount and type of wind turbines that will conform the mentioned wind farm, 5 Vestas V100 HH95m, in a project located on a rice growing farm, 15 km north of Chuy, Rocha.<\/p>\n

\"Bell<\/a>Lastly, Mr. Bell stated that \u00abfor Ventus, the participation on a prestigious congress represents a meaningful instance to show its ability to face a problem (floodable low quality terrains) and overcome it by implementing solutions (like the usage of high tenacity geo-synthetics).<\/p>\n

Ventus is a Uruguayan firm which offers wind farm development, construction and management services at national and international level.<\/p>\n
