Un caso de \u00e9xito en el pa\u00eds oriental le permitir\u00e1 a una empresa ahorrarse 8 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Si bien las realidades entre ambos pa\u00edses son distintas, ya que en el Uruguay los Grandes Usuarios de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica optan por las renovables al tener que afrontar tarifas altas, en la Argentina ese proceso se est\u00e1 dando a trav\u00e9s de la Ley 27.191, que fija un consumo del 8 por ciento con energ\u00edas renovables a partir del 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Es por ello que estos consumidores del mercado el\u00e9ctrico mayorista, de demandas de potencia a partir de los 300 kW, est\u00e1n averiguando diferentes alternativas de abastecimiento de energ\u00edas limpias.<\/p>\n<p>Existen tres: adquirirla mediante el Estado, a trav\u00e9s de las Compras Conjuntas con CAMMESA \u2013opci\u00f3n por defecto-; establecer un contrato con un privado durante un plazo determinado; o bien, autogener\u00e1ndola.<\/p>\n<p>Es en ese marco que Ventus Ingenier\u00eda est\u00e1 ofreciendo distintas alternativas de contratos entre privados, ofreciendo contratos PPA a plazos de 10, 15 o 20 a\u00f1os con proyectos llave en mano \u201cque incluye desde desarrollar el proyecto, construirlo y operarlo\u201d, cuenta a Energ\u00eda Estrat\u00e9gica,\u00a0<strong>Juan Pablo Saltre<\/strong>, Socio Fundador y Director de Ventus.<\/p>\n<p>Al d\u00eda de hoy, la compa\u00f1\u00eda se encuentra en negociaciones con empresas, participando de compulsas privadas, trabajando sobre acuerdos para el montaje de proyectos que parten de los 10 MW con horizontes hacia los 50 MW.<\/p>\n<p>Pero otro plato fuerte que ofrece la firma de origen uruguaya es la autogeneraci\u00f3n. Opci\u00f3n que, seg\u00fan proyecta la firma, ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s que viable no s\u00f3lo por el cumplimiento de la meta de la Ley 27.191, sino por la quita de subsidios que el Gobierno nacional ya declar\u00f3 que ir\u00e1 ejecutando sobre la tarifa el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n<p>De manera gradual, la administraci\u00f3n de\u00a0<strong>Mauricio Macri<\/strong>\u00a0apunta a que en 2019 las tarifas se parezcan a las uruguayas. Y sobre este escenario Ventus tiene experiencia desde el 2011, cuando dej\u00f3 operativo el primer proyecto e\u00f3lico de autogeneraci\u00f3n para la f\u00e1brica de lana ENGRAW S.A.<\/p>\n<p>La iniciativa surgi\u00f3 con motivos de reducir costos de electricidad, y, seg\u00fan directivos de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, fue un acierto, ya que durante la vida \u00fatil de los aerogeneradores de 4 MW de potencia total, estimados en 20 a\u00f1os, se ahorrar\u00e1n 8 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1177\" src=\"https:\/\/ventusenergia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"745\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22.jpg 745w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22-300x183.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22-400x244.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 745px) 100vw, 745px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>En una entrevista para este portal,\u00a0<strong>Juan Collazo<\/strong>, Jefe de Planta Industrial de ENGRAW, y\u00a0<strong>Diego Wins<\/strong>, por parte de Ventus, como Project Manager del proyecto, cuentan de qu\u00e9 se trata el emprendimiento, c\u00f3mo surgi\u00f3 y qu\u00e9 resultados arroj\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfQu\u00e9 lo llev\u00f3 a tomar esta iniciativa de abastecerse con energ\u00eda renovable?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collazo<\/strong>: -La iniciativa se debi\u00f3 a cada vez m\u00e1s altos costos de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica en el Uruguay.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien el porcentaje de incidencia total en el costo es relativamente bajo, comparado con una industria intensiva en energ\u00eda (alrededor del 10%), este se iba incrementando cada vez m\u00e1s en el correr de los a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, al ser una empresa orientada totalmente a la exportaci\u00f3n, pertenecemos a un sector muy competitivo en cuanto a costo y debemos mirar cada oportunidad de ser m\u00e1s eficientes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfY c\u00f3mo fue el contacto con Ventus?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collazo<\/strong>: -En realidad, Ventus comenz\u00f3 luego de la instalaci\u00f3n del molino e\u00f3lico que instalamos en ENGRAW a ser los ingenieros que participaron en nuestro proyecto, los mismos que posteriormente fundaron Ventus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfEn qu\u00e9 consiste esta instalaci\u00f3n y cu\u00e1nto demor\u00f3 en desarrollarse el proyecto?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wins<\/strong>: -Nunca antes se hab\u00eda implementado un proyecto en esta modalidad.\u00a0 Este fue el primer proyecto de autogeneraci\u00f3n industrial en Uruguay. El proceso dur\u00f3 aproximadamente 24 meses. Durante 12 meses se llevaron a cabo mediciones y el desarrollo del proyecto, y el per\u00edodo restante se llev\u00f3 a cabo la construcci\u00f3n y puesta en marcha del parque.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfQu\u00e9 consumo de energ\u00eda tiene ENGRAW y en qu\u00e9 porcentaje logra abastecerse con esta fuente de energ\u00eda limpia?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collazo<\/strong>: -El consumo de energ\u00eda promedio nuestro es de 600 a 700 kWh mensuales. El porcentaje que utilizamos de generaci\u00f3n propia es de alrededor del 75 por ciento.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfTienen un balance de cu\u00e1nto se pudieron ahorrar de energ\u00eda (y de dinero) gracias a la energ\u00eda renovable?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collazo<\/strong>: -Como comentaba anteriormente, se ahorr\u00f3 un 75 por ciento de la energ\u00eda comprada de la red. Esto represent\u00f3 un ahorro anual aproximado de 400.000 d\u00f3lares. Si trazamos una l\u00ednea de tiempo, considerando una vida \u00fatil de 20 a\u00f1os, podr\u00edamos ahorrar hasta 8 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfC\u00f3mo resuelve cuestiones de mantenimiento y qu\u00e9 rendimiento tienen los equipos?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collazo<\/strong>: -Los equipos, cuando se compran tienen una opci\u00f3n de un contrato de mantenimiento durante la vida \u00fatil del aerogenerador, con la empresa suministradora del molino. Nosotros tenemos un contrato de mantenimiento con esta empresa, en conjunto con una supervisi\u00f3n realizada por Ventus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfY est\u00e1n evaluando realizar nuevas inversiones en energ\u00eda renovable, ya sea para abastecerse o inyectarla a la red el\u00e9ctrica?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collazo<\/strong>: -Por ahora no tenemos planes de inversi\u00f3n en cuanto a energ\u00eda renovable e\u00f3lica. Con nuestros 2 molinos de 2 MW de potencia cada uno tenemos casi cubierto nuestro consumo de energ\u00eda como auto-generadores.<\/p>\n<p>-S\u00ed tenemos otros proyectos de energ\u00eda renovable de otras fuentes, por ejemplo biomasa, utilizando nuestras aguas residuales que tambi\u00e9n estamos desarrollando con Ventus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-\u00bfCu\u00e1ntas iniciativas de este tipo ya han desarrollado en Ventus?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wins<\/strong>: -Al d\u00eda de hoy en Uruguay hemos construido 9 proyectos de autogeneraci\u00f3n e\u00f3licos y solares, a la medida de las necesidades de nuestros clientes.<\/p>\n<p>-Algunos proyectos los hemos implementado en los patios traseros de las industrias, otros aprovechando estructuras preexistentes como los techos de dep\u00f3sitos o empresas.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00bfCreen que este know how servir\u00e1 para ser volcado al mercado argentino?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wins<\/strong>: -Estamos trabajando junto a Grandes Usuarios en Argentina para brindarles soluciones que les permitan acceder a una fuente de energ\u00eda limpia, medioambientalmente amigable, y accediendo a precios m\u00e1s competitivos que los del mercado. Para muchos casos, como el de Engraw, permiti\u00f3 a la empresa ahorrar a trav\u00e9s de la reducci\u00f3n del costo a trav\u00e9s del acceso de energ\u00eda a trav\u00e9s de fuentes propias.<\/p>\n<p>-Seguramente veremos muchos de estos casos pr\u00f3ximamente aqu\u00ed en Argentina.<br \/>\n[\/tp]<\/p>\n<p>[tp lang=\u00bben\u00bb not_in=\u00bbes\u00bb]<br \/>\n<em>Source: Energ\u00eda Estrat\u00e9gica<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1176\" src=\"https:\/\/ventusenergia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw.jpg 800w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw-400x200.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>The Uruguayan company, based in Argentina since some years ago, offers alternatives to supply renewable energy to large consumers of electricity.<\/em>\u00a0<em>A success story in Uruguay will allow a company to save 8 million dollars.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Although each country\u2019s background is different, since in Uruguay the Great Users of electric power opt for renewable energy due to the high tariffs of non-renewable energy, in Argentina the same process is taking place because of Law 27.191, which sets a consumption of 8 percent with renewable energies as of 2018.<\/p>\n<p>That is why the consumers of the wholesale electricity market, with power demands starting at 300 kW, are exploring different alternatives for supplying clean energy.<\/p>\n<p>There are three possibilities: acquiring it through the State, through Joint Purchases with CAMMESA -the default option-;\u00a0signing a contract with a private company for a specific term;\u00a0or, self-generation.<\/p>\n<p>It is within this framework that Ventus Ingenier\u00eda is offering different alternatives for private contracts through 10, 15 or 20-year PPA\u2019s with turnkey projects \u00abthat include from the project\u2019s development to construction to operation\u00bb, as <strong>Juan Pablo Saltre<\/strong>, Founding Partner and\u00a0Director\u00a0of Ventus explains to Strategic Energy.<\/p>\n<p>As of today, the company has started negotiating with companies, participating in private biddings and working on agreements for the assembly of projects that start from 10 MW to 50 MW.<\/p>\n<p>Another key option offered by the Uruguayan firm is self-generation.\u00a0According to the company\u2019s projections, this will be highly feasible, not only to fulfil the goal of Law 27.191, but also because of the reduction of subsidies that the national Government has already declared it would implement on\u00a0the electricity tariff.<\/p>\n<p>Gradually, the administration of\u00a0<strong>Mauricio Macri<\/strong>\u00a0aims to match Uruguayan tariffs in 2019. In fact, Ventus has experience contributing to a similar scenario. In 2011, the firm executed the first operating wind power self-generation project for the wool factory ENGRAW SA.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this initiative was to reduce power costs and, according to its executives, it was a success,\u00a0since\u00a0during the useful life of wind turbines with a total power of 4MW, estimated in 20 years, 8 million dollars will be saved.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1177\" src=\"https:\/\/ventusenergia.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"745\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22.jpg 745w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22-300x183.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ventus.global\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Engraw22-400x244.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 745px) 100vw, 745px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In an interview for this site,\u00a0<strong>Juan Collazo<\/strong>, Head of ENGRAW Industrial Plant, and\u00a0<strong>Diego Wins<\/strong>, Ventus Project Manager for the ENGRAW project, explain what the project is about, how it came about and what results it has produced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-What led you to take the initiative to supply yourself with renewable energy?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collazo:<\/strong> -The initiative was due to increasingly high costs of electricity in Uruguay. Although the percentage of total incidence in the cost is relatively low, compared with an energy-intensive industry (around 10%), it increased more and more over the years.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, being an export-oriented company, we belong to a very competitive sector in terms of cost, and we must look at every opportunity to be more efficient.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-And how was the contact with Ventus?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Collazo:<\/strong> -Actually, Ventus started working with us after the wind turbine was installed in ENGRAW by the engineers that participated in our project, the same ones who later founded Ventus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-What did this installation consist of and how long did it take to develop the project?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Wins:<\/strong> -Never before had a project been implemented with this modality.\u00a0This was the first industrial self-generation project in Uruguay. The process lasted approximately 24 months.\u00a0During 12 months, the measurement and development stages were carried out, and the wind farm construction and commissioning was done in the remaining time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-How much power does ENGRAW consume and in what percentage does it manage to supply itself with this source of clean energy?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Collazo:<\/strong> -Our average power consumption is 600 kWh to 700 kWh per month. 75 percent of this is self-generated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-Do you know how much power (and money) you have saved thanks to renewable energy?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Collazo:<\/strong> -As I said previously, we have saved 75 percent of the power purchased.\u00a0This represents an annual saving of approximately USD 400,000.\u00a0If we draw a timeline, considering a useful life of 20 years, we could save up to 8 million dollars.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-How do you solve maintenance issues and what is the performance of the equipment?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Collazo:<\/strong> -When you purchase the equipment, there is an option of a maintenance contract with the company supplying the wind turbine for the life of the turbine.\u00a0We have a maintenance contract with this company, together with a supervision carried out by Ventus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-Are you considering making new investments in renewable energy, either to supply or inject it into the electricity grid?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Collazo:<\/strong> -For now, we do not have investment plans in terms of wind power.\u00a0With our wind turbines with 2 MW each, we have almost covered our power consumption as self-generators. We have other renewable energy projects from other sources, e.g. biomass, using our wastewater, which we are also developing with Ventus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-How many initiatives of this kind have you already developed in Ventus?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Wins:<\/strong> -To date in Uruguay we have built 9 wind and solar self-generation projects, tailored to the needs of our customers. Some projects have been implemented in the companies\u2019 backyards, others taking advantage of pre-existing structures such as the company\u2019s or warehouse roofs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-Do you think that this<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>know<\/strong><strong>-how\u00a0will be used for the Argentine market?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mr. Wins:<\/strong> -We are working together with Great Users in Argentina to provide them with solutions to allow them to access a source of environmentally friendly and clean energy, while accessing more competitive prices than those of the current market.\u00a0In many cases, such as\u00a0Engraw\u2019s, it has allowed the company to save through cost reduction through self-generation.
