En el a\u00f1o 2011 Ventus se convert\u00eda en la primera empresa uruguaya en construir un parque e\u00f3lico para autoconsumo industrial.<\/p>\n

Este primer proyecto cambi\u00f3 el modelo del consumo energ\u00e9tico de este cliente, que luego replicamos a varias industrias m\u00e1s de este pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

A\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde logramos estructurar el primer fideicomiso financiero para un parque e\u00f3lico en Uruguay. De este modo construimos varios parques e\u00f3licos en modalidad EPC llave en mano, lo que nos permiti\u00f3 convertirnos en una empresa especialista en este tipo de proyectos.<\/p>\n

Producto de la b\u00fasqueda permanente por ampliar nuestros horizontes, pocos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s desembarcamos en Argentina, Bolivia, M\u00e9xico y recientemente en Colombia. Al d\u00eda de hoy hemos brindado servicios por m\u00e1s de 2.5 GW en proyectos\u00a0e\u00f3licos y solares en el continente.<\/p>\n

Hace algo m\u00e1s de un mes Ventus firm\u00f3 un acuerdo con la Compa\u00f1\u00eda Administradora del Mercado Mayorista El\u00e9ctrico (CAMMESA) para la\u00a0exportaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda de Uruguay a Argentina.\u00a0Los costos marginales del mercado el\u00e9ctrico uruguayo muestran claramente un excedente de energ\u00eda, lo que nos motiv\u00f3 a buscar alternativas para colocar la energ\u00eda de nuestros clientes a mejores precios.<\/p>\n

De esta manera se acord\u00f3 la venta de energ\u00eda por \u201cpaquetes\u201d semanales, de manera de poder exportar en el per\u00edodo de un a\u00f1o 250.000 MWh, lo correspondiente a la potencia instalada de 73 MW distribuidos en 8 parques operados por la empresa. Esta energ\u00eda es suficiente para abastecer a una ciudad de unos 160.000 habitantes.<\/p>\n

Desde el lunes 16 de octubre, apenas un mes luego de concretado el acuerdo con CAMMESA, Ventus comenz\u00f3 a exportar por primera vez esta energ\u00eda a Argentina. Este hecho no tiene precedentes en la historia del mercado el\u00e9ctrico de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Indudablemente este logro alcanzado, as\u00ed como los anteriores hitos conseguidos por la empresa, nos llenan de orgullo.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, en Ventus estamos convencidos de que este es el comienzo de un camino hacia desarrollo de nuevas oportunidades de negocio dentro de Uruguay a trav\u00e9s de la venta de energ\u00eda entre privados, as\u00ed como la posibilidad de ingreso en nuevos mercados que nos permita seguir exportando nuestro know how y energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n

In 2011, Ventus became the first Uruguayan company to build a wind farm for industrial self-generation.<\/p>\n

This first project changed the model of energy consumption for this industry, which we then replicated in several other industries in this country.<\/p>\n

Years later we managed to structure the first financial trust for a wind farm in Uruguay. We were able to build several wind farms in EPC turnkey mode, which helped us become a specialized company in this type of projects.<\/p>\n

Due to our permanent search to expand our horizons, a few years later we started operating in Argentina, Bolivia, Mexico and recently in Colombia. To date we have provided services for more than 2.5 GW in\u00a0wind and solar\u00a0projects in the continent.<\/p>\n

Over a month ago, Ventus signed an agreement with the Electric Wholesale Market Management Company (CAMMESA) to\u00a0export energy from Uruguay to Argentina, since the uruguayan electrical system was widely satisfied.<\/p>\n

This reality motivated us to look for solutions that would allow our clients to access better\u00a0 prices for their energy.<\/p>\n

That is why we agreed with CAMMESA to sell the energy separated in weekly \u00abpackages\u00bb, so that 250,000 MWh could be exported in one year, corresponding to the installed capacity of 73 MW distributed in 8 wind farms operated by the company. This energy is enough to supply a city of about 160,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\n

Since Monday October 16th, just one month after the agreement with CAMMESA was consolidated, Ventus began to trade this energy to Argentina for the first time. This is unprecedented in the history of the electrical market in the region.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, this recognitions, as well as the previous milestones achieved by the company, fill us with pride.<\/p>\n

However, at Ventus we are convinced that this is the beginning of a path towards the development of new business opportunities within Uruguay through Energy trading between private companies, as well as the possibility to enter new markets that allow us to continue trading our know how and energy.<\/p>\n
